The Richmond (VA) Alumni Chapter has supported students in Central Virginia through through its annual Jesse M. Tinsley, D.D.S. scholarship program. This Fraternal Year, the chapter provided six $1,000 scholarships to young men from the City of Richmond, Chesterfield and Henrico counties. Along with those scholarships, each graduating Kappa League member who has participated in the program for three or more years received a $500 book scholarship. In the previous fraternal year, the scholarship was given to one student who currently attends Old Dominion University.

In addition to our scholarships that support students going into college the Chapter contributed $10,000 to the Alpha Gamma Chapter Alumni Association. This scholarship was in the name of Brother William J. “Dill” Dillon, a Virginia Union University (VUU) Hall of Fame inductee. The scholarship supports student athletes and the athletic department at VUU.

Brothers gather to present a check for scholarships in the name of Brother William "Dill" Dillon.
